We operate term-time only, we are closed during school holidays, bank holidays, Christmas and Easter.
We take children aged 2 years to 4 years


We have a variety of sessions available:

8:45-1:15

8:45-3:15

Sessions can be taken using funded hours, additional/un-funded hours are charged at £5 an hour

We accept children from areas outside of Tower View primary catchment areas

Autumn Term 2025

Inset day: Monday 1 September

Term Starts: Tuesday 2 September

Holiday: Monday 27 October – Friday 31 October

inset day Nov 3rd

Term Ends: Friday 19 December

Holiday: Monday 22 December – Friday 2 January

Monday, 1 September 2025 will be fixed as an inset day and the other four inset days for the 2025/26 academic year are to be identified by schools. Schools will be encouraged to set Monday, 20 July 2026 as an inset day but closed in lieu of twilight training.

Fees & Funding Information

At Winshill Preschool we aim to provide high-quality, affordable childcare for families in our community. 

Invoices are issued a week in advance on a weekly basis and must be paid within seven days. We accept bank transfer, childcare vouchers, and Tax-Free Childcare payments.

We do not charge for additional items, parents are asked to provide nappies, wipes and packed lunches




We have an 'open door' policy which means parents can come in for a chat with their Key-Person at any point during the day
We have a variety of sessions to accommodate most childcare needs, this includes full-time, part-time, morning and afternoon.

Government Funding

We offer places for children eligible for government-funded childcare through Staffordshire County Council:

  • 15 hours funded childcare for all 3 and 4-year-olds
  • 30 hours extended funding for eligible working families
  • 15 hours funded childcare for eligible 2-year-olds
  • SEND and Inclusion Funding to support children with additional needs (subject to assessment)
